Yesterday, Cincinnati lost a great citizen.
Avtar S. Gill, famous for his message-bearing hats, passed away in a hotel room.
We here at 1230 The Buzz remember him the most for the times he has come to our remotes and events. He would always come to our office lobby with his message hat, saying how much he loved 1230 The Buzz.
His messages would be a mix of news of the day, promotions, greetings and stickers from people seeking public office.
He would also be at city council meetings, and other public events downtown.
