If you are looking to take part in President Barack Obama‘s Day of Service, which honors civil rights icon Dr. Martin L. King Jr., then you should attend Points of Light‘s “Unite America in Service” event on January 19th at the D.C. Armory.

Headlined by rappers MC Lyte and Pharrell, participants can volunteer in two-and-a-half-hour shifts by packing “100,000 care kits filled with necessities for deployed U.S. Service Members, Wounded Warriors, Veterans and First Responders.”
