Black women in Ohio, in addition to 19 states, are suffering from a widening wage gap.
Statistics released by the U.S. Census Bureau show that black women, especially in the states where the majority of them work, suffer wage gap ranges from 55 and 87 cents for every dollar paid to men in those states.
In the state of Ohio, almost 200,000 african american women are working full-time, year-round. The annual wage gap is over $14,000, with an average of 69 cents for every dollar paid to men in Ohio.
