We did it. We walked 107 miles from Cincinnati to Columbus to create awareness and urgency for children’s health issues. This 6th Annual walk is the brainchild of State Senator Eric Kearney and it’s remarkable to think he did it alone the first year. Wow!
This walk was dedicated to create awareness of fetal/childhood stroke and the on-going crisis of children’s hunger in our community. Too many children are going to bed hungry, going to school hungry and are unable to achieve because they need food. Please donate to Childhood Food Solutions or the FreeStore Foodbank to help them feed our children. Both organizations send food home for the weekend in a few areas but they need more. The mission of Childhood Food Solutions is to develop solutions for childhood food insecurity that can be applied in a community, tested for effectiveness and duplicated in other communities.
