Laure Quinlivan: reporter, councilwoman, and now songwriter? The Cincinnati councilwoman is writing a song for the city that will be a PSA for the World Choir Games this summer. The song may also be played in other cities to promote tourism.
The song is called, “Cincinnati’s Singing”. Quinlivan took the melody of “Proud Mary” and wrote her lyrics to it.
If you were at Findlay Market this weekend, you probably saw her shooting the music video. She has recruited former boy band member, Nick Lachey, and American Idol reject, Eben Franckewitz, to sing the song. Here are the lyrics,
