The Cincinnati streetcar project is looking for minority and women-owned businesses to get involved in the construction process for the streetcar.
Tonight (Thursday), a meeting will be held to get interested companies to register as a “Disadvantaged Business Enterprise.”
Also known as the DBE program, it helps ensure that firms and companies owned by socially and economically disadvantaged persons have the opportunity to grow and become self-sufficient in order to create a level playing field. The program wants all companies competing fairly for contracts.
The meeting starts tonight at 6 p.m. at the Duke Energy Convention Center.
