Yesterday, the Ohio Attorney General’s office issued a press release, warning Golden Buckeye participants of a phone scam spreading around.
Identity theives are calling people, and posing as state workers of the “Best Rx Program”. When they called, they asked people for their bank account numbers or social security numbers.
The attorney general’s office also stated that the Golden Buckeye or Ohio’s Best Rx program will never contact cardholders for personal or financial information.
