Considering there are issues which affect teachers and the public school system on the ballot today, what would you do for your child’s education? These parents prove they are willing to sit outside for days in order to enroll their kids in one of Cincinnati‘s best public schools, the Fairfield-Clifton German Language School. Over 30 parents have pitched a tent and camped out more than a week ahead of the November 16th application date. The number continues to grow! The school and the district does not condone the camp out, but it has become a tradition at this point for the hard to get in magnet school (with specialty programs for foreign language and arts, as well as a successful teaching styles like that of Montessori). Due to the challenges that the “first come first serve” issue presents, the district revamped the process by offering a hybrid lottery system this year. It’s unclear how many magnet school seats were given away and how many remain available.
