It’s time to put away those delightfully summertime dishes of BBQ ribs, fried corn and macaroni and cheese so you can partake in a rare discount fine dining experience as the city’s center launches belly first and forks sharpened for the official Do Downtown Restaurant Group’s second annual Downtown Cincinnati Restaurant Week held this week from August 9-15.

Guests from all over Cincinnati might have to wait an extra 10 minutes or so for a table, but it’ll be worth it when you’re spending a fraction of the normal price of a fine dining experience at famed culinary destinations such as the Orchids at Palm Court, Morton’s Steakhouse, Jeff Ruby, Montgomery Inn at the Boathouse and Nicholson’s – all favorites of ours, too. With Cincinnati’s budding city center and it’s new and vibrant dining experiences popping up at the drop of a dime, I’m sure you’ll find friendly service and something tasty on any menu you choose.

For additional details on this week’s festivities, please visit WCPO.com today. Am I the only one getting hungry all over again? I wonder what’s on the menu actually. There you’ll find a complete list of the participating restaurants in Downtown Cincinnati Restaurant Week and also what special offers will be available all week long. Will you find yourself at a new restaurant this week, too? If so, let us know what your experience is like. Oh and don’t forget to tell us how good (or bad) the food and the service may be.
