Soul singing legend Patti LaBelle is being sued over an alleged attack involving her security guards and a young man that occurred at Bush Intercontinental airport.

The young man is claiming that he was viciously attacked by Labelle’s bodyguards for standing too close to her luggage.

Shahzad faces charges of conspiracy in addition to an attempt to use a weapon of mass destruction. The 30-year-old faces these and eight other counts, six of which carry a maximum life sentence if convicted. Two counts which also include an attempt to commit international terrorism among others bring a mandatory life sentence.

Shahzad’s attempt to set off a vehicle bomb in the middle of Times Square just over two months ago on May 1st is what started it all. Two days later he was arrested and is expected to be arraigned on Monday, according to statements from the Justice Department.
