About Rob Richardson
Robert E. Richardson Jr. is a second generation Cincinnatian. He is the Executive Director and Founder of the Coalition for Sustainable Communities a nonprofit development corporation which invests in development projects that are sustainable for both the community and the environment. Mr. Richardson also works as a construction market representative for the Laborers Employers Cooperation and Education Trust (“LECET”).
Mr. Richardson also serves as of counsel with the law firm of Branstetter, Stranch & Jennings. His practice areas include labor and employment, personal injury and wrongful death, and class action litigation.
Mr. Richardson received his BSE in electrical engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 2002 and graduated with honors from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2005. While at the University of Cincinnati he established the first college chapter of the NAACP in the Tristate and was elected Student Body President in the spring of 2001. In 2002, Mr. Richardson was awarded the UC Presidential Leadership Medal of Excellence.
In January 2008, Mr. Richardson made history at the age of 29 when Governor Strickland appointed him as the youngest person ever to serve on the Board of Trustees at the University of Cincinnati. Mr. Richardson also currently serves on the Drake Hospital Board and is Co-Chairman of Cincinnatians for Progress.
