PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL– An eight-year-old student’s grandmother gave a school teacher a gift box filled with toiletries and a loaded .22-caliber handgun.
The teacher received the gift at close of school in the parking lot, and later discovered a handgun enclosed.
The grandmother says she did not know the weapon was in the box when she gave it to teacher.
The investigation is continuing.

Apparently unknown to the grandmother, the box also contained a small caliber handgun. The grandmother allegedly handed the boxed gift to the teacher, who was in the school parking lot assisting with dismissal.
