It has truly been a whirlwind of a weekend as maestro, mastermind and reigning “purple one,” Prince kicked off his string of live performances on the west coast. Hot off the press, we’re sitting here just as jealous as can be (and rightfully so) of the entertainment news that he’s planning to add more shows and more highlights – including an homage to the late King of Pop and fellow industry icon, Michael Jackson.

Prince, who’s notorious for surprise onstage guests hailing from every corner of the globe and in entertainment, made the ecstatic Los Angeles crowd stand up, dance, sing and shout reportedly for hours. Spanning his decades of seductive and sensual funked out hits, the “Welcome 2 America: 21 Nite Stand” proves there’s still nobody giving as great of a show as Prince these days. This current west coast residency at the L.A. Forum gives Prince the chance to do what he does best and also includes random appearances from celebs like Eva Longoria with more stars to come through to party along the journey.

Catch a glimpse of what we all missed here in the Midwest as Prince glides through his live set and adds Michael’s “Don’t Stop til You Get Enough” to the show, rounding out what is said to already be an extraordinary display of great works – past, present and even what’s just beyond the horizon. Hopefully, our future holds a rare chance to see the legend live in action on this side of the country really soon.
