June is finally right here upon us and it’s time to join the nation in looking back on some of the most remarkable contributions to black music with this month’s “Celebration of Black Music” at The City of Destiny (better known as Inspirational Baptist Church where Bishop Victor S. Couzens is the senior pastor).

Featuring a rare and unique stage presentation that honors the legends and educates the legions of fans with musical performances by contemporary gospel’s famed brother/sister duo BeBe & CeCe Winans as headliners, this show promises to blow your mind. There will even be a special performance from Cincinnati’s own jazz diva Kathy Wade and the funk/R&B/soul stylings of the Queen City’s musical conglomerate 2nd Wind.

This highly sought after tribute to Black Music Month (throughout the entire month of June) tells the evolution of black music from spirituals to hip hop and will surely inspire each of us to continue supporting such a definitive sound across all genres.
