After a three-month audit, it has been concluded that the Cincinnati Police needs to make major changes to improve efficiency. From the improvement of data systems, to the reduction of bosses in the office, police chief James Craig intends to apply the recommended changes in order to put more cops on the street.

According to the report, there are five areas that need improvement. They are emphasizing neighborhood policing efforts, improving quality and effectiveness of investigations, organizational redesign, improving the work environment for officers to encourage more creative thinking and boosting the department’s use of technology.
