A Southeast Indiana girl has been suspended from her school, because she colored her hair with kool-aid.
10 year-old Rachel Neely came home from Sunman-Dearborn Intermediate School, that day, and shocked her father. When curious to why Rachel was home, she showed him the letter. The letter stated she was suspended indefinitely because of her hair.
Her father has tried to get his daughter’s hair back to her natural color, but without success.
Charles says his daughter colored her hair with Kool-Aid during a recent weekend sleepover. Blue streaks were still visible in her hair when she returned to school.
“When she got home from school today, the first thing she said was, ‘Dad, I’ve been suspended because of my hair.’ I was aghast,” Charles said.
