CONGRATULATIONS TO NICOLE MCWHORTER

Meet our 1230AM WDBZ The Buzz finalist who recently was announced as the winner of the Dreamgirls singing contest earlier this month.

Cincinnati, we asked the question: are you the next Dreamgirl? Then you dreamed big, you entered and you made this contest a success so we wanted to make sure you all had a chance to meet the winner, hear a preview of her singing and actually help her prepare for the show this week. As a reminder, here’s what Nicole McWhorter, who sang her version of Beyonce’s “Listen,” actually gets for winning this exciting contest.

Our “Dreamgirl” will be awarded VIP tickets and her very own featured spot in a live performance at the Aronoff Center for the Arts as the opening act for one of the upcoming shows during the June 8th – 20th run of the hit Broadway musical and stage production of Dreamgirls.

If you’d like to attend to support Nicole McWhorter, all you have to do is meet us inside the lobby of the Aronoff Center for the Arts on her performance night which at tomorrow – Tuesday, June 8th beginning promptly at 7:30PM. For additional ticket information and show time details, check out our Events section and make your way to the live show of your choice throughout the remainder of the month.

Our team of photographers and reporters will be on hand to present our new “Dreamgirl” in her debut solo performance of a song she selected from the official Dreamgirls soundtrack. Mr. Gregory Moore

We salute this month’s PNC Unsung Hero Mr. Gregory Moore. Mr. Moore has devoted over 17 years of his life to serving the community through the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati. He has directed programs in the West End, Madisonville, Westwood and College Hill. He currently is the Senior Program Director at the Skyline Community Center. Not only does he devote endless hours and personal resources to the community via the “Y” but he also works through the First Baptist Church of College Hill and groups like Double Dutch and the Cincinnati Rope Twisters. Through these vehicles, he gives many youth the encouragement to achieve athletically as well as scholastically and most importantly, in life. His devotion and unwavering dedication to youth in the community are examples that we should all strive to attain ourselves. For being the tireless beacon of dedication to others we salute you Mr. Gregory Moore as the Unsung Hero for the month of June. Brought to you by PNC and 1230am WDBZ.
