As you heard from the news this morning there have been shootings at the Fort Hood army base in Texas, yesterday. Here are a few updates:
-another person, who was shot by Major Nidal Hassan, has died this morning which makes it thirteen people who were killed. 31 people are injured
-The lockdown that was placed at the Fort Hood base, last night, has been lifted.
-On a local note, all sixteen soliders of the Ohio National Gaurd, that are stationed at the base, are safe and were not at the shooting site.
– An Indiana man from LaFayette was among those who were shot. Nathan Hewitt suffered two gunshot wounds : one grazed his hip and the other went through his calf. His injuries are not life-threatening and is recovering at the fort’s hospital.
