Cincinnati Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips was charged with reckless driving and arrested Friday night.

Phillips was reportedly driving 72 mph in a 35 mph zone in Kenton County, when he was pulled over. According to reports, Brandon Phillips was apologetic for breaking the law and supportive of the police officer who arrested him.

While the officer could have just issued a ticket, he chose the option of arrest. Brandon was released from the Kenton County jail after posting a $25 bond.
