A man died Sunday night after being shocked with a Taser gun, said Mason police.
Officers said they were advised about a problem inside the Speedway gas station on Reading Road about 11:15 p.m.
Officers said a man was being disruptive. They asked the man to leave, but when he got outside, police said he started fighting with them. One officer reported being hit in the head.
Officer shocked the man with a Taser gun to subdue him. Moments later, officers said the man stopped breathing. He was rushed to the hospital where he later died.
The officer who was hit in the head was also taken to the hospital for evaluation. He had a head injury but his condition was not known.
The suspect’s name has not been released. Police are working to notify his family.
