A Republican Party U.S. Senate candidate from Mississippi is in serious hot water for some pretty ridiculous comments he made about black Americans and Latinos that surfaced last week via the Washington Post.

During a 2006 radio broadcast, Mississippi state Sen. Chris McDaniel said, “If they pass reparations and my taxes go up, I ain’t paying taxes…How you going to make me pay for something I had nothing to do with? How you going to do that to me?”

And because one kind of racial animus rarely exists without another, he added, “Why don’t we all immigrate south, let’s go to Mexico. You know, a dollar bill can buy a mansion in Mexico.” he continued, then asking his co-host to translate, “Do you have a sister?”

On Friday’s “NewsOne Now,” Roland Martin and the panel lambasted McDaniel and his comments. You’ll want to watch this.

Be sure to listen to “NewsOne Now” with Roland Martin, weekdays at 7 a.m. EST and watch at 9 a.m. EST on TV One.
