A wounded soldier from Cincinnati is being held as a larger-than-life american hero because of a hospital bed salute.
U.S. Army Ranger corporal Josh Hargis is seen on a Youtube video saluting his commanding officer despite coming out of surgery to remove shrapnel from an explosion in afghanistan.
Hargis was hooked up to a host of devices and fought off a doctor to deliver the salute per military custom while receiving his purple heart.
