Great gospel music news has arrived today with the official confirmation that the highly anticipated return of Stellar Award-winning urban gospel artist Tye Tribbett is ready to drop some heat on us this fall with his brand new album.

Currently slated for release on Tuesday, October 19th, Tribbett’s new project “Fresh” will be released on Columbia Records with songs written or co-written by the talented singer/songwriter we’ve come to know and love over the last few years.

The new CD will also feature musical collaborations with Isaac Caree (formerly of Men of Standard) on the track “Your Blood” as well as a rare musical team effort from Israel Houghton on “Champion.”

What can we expect on the singer’s fourth album? Tye Tribbett recently spoke in an interview stating that the 16-song set is comprised of 16 new “musical testimonies.” And what does the title mean?

“Fresh means restored, new creature and it’s my announcement that nothing is the same,” Tye declares. “My thinking, my business, my patterns, everything is new.”

The newest thing to take notice of in the musical career of Tye Tribbett is that this particular project finds him making a departure – taking on a new direction, so to speak, with and without the help of his high energy choral G.A. (also known as Greater Anointing).

This album, a follow up to the #1 Billboard Top Gospel Album “StandOut,” reportedly sees Tye mixing and blending old members with brand new members or cutting them out cold turkey.
