Remember when there was a streetcar model on fountain square that had in bold words, “MADE IN USA”? You can forget about that.
This week, Mayor Mark Mallory is traveling to Spain to meet with CAF, the company that will be making Cincinnati’s streetcars. Mallory, and the city, awarded a $20 million contract to the CAF company to build the streetcars and its spare parts.
Mallory will also be meeting with Spanish government officials, pitching investment opportunities in Cincinnati.
