Ohio Governor John Kasich wants expanded Medicaid funding as part of a new 63 billion dollar budget proposal.
The federal government is taking on the costs of the new recipients through 2020, under the affordable care act.
The state expects to save 235 million dollars over two years, because of the Medicaid expansion.
