The head of the Environmental Protection Agency will be stepping down from her post next year.
Lisa Jackson, the administrator for the E.P.A., will be resigning from her position after President Obama gives his State of the Union address.
Shortly after the president’s re-election, last month, Jackson informed him that she planned to step down next year. She met with E.P.A. staff, yesterday, to talk about her decision and was optimistic on the agency’s future.
