People who have flights to the east coast out of the CVG airport are asked to call ahead before heading out.
Airport officials say a few eastbound flights were cancelled yesterday, with hurricane sandy approaching. They’re expecting more cancellations today, with service returning to normal by tomorrow.
Meanwhile, local utility crews are heading east to help restore power after hurricane sandy.
Duke energy officials say dozens of employees left, this past weekend, to help utility workers in the northeast.
The utility company expects the storm to also affect local customers, and support workers are prepared for tri-state power outages.
