Holly Pallone, 26 stands accused of involuntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment after her 19-month-old son, Anthony F. Pallone Jr., was discovered dead in his crib from a single gunshot wound to the head. According to authorities in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, Pallone claimed that she was cleaning the gun to sell it when the bullet accidentally struck her son.

Lehigh County Coroner, Scott Grim, ruled baby Anthony’s death a homicide.

According to WFMZ-TV, Pallone called 911 around midnight Saturday night and said, “there was a gun and it went off and hit my son in the forehead. The .44 caliber Smith and Wesson allegedly belonged to a man living with Pallone and baby Anthony and she was planning to sell it to her dope supplier, “Low,” for $200.00 that night.

With Anthony lying in a pack and play, the papers outline how Pallone sat on her bed and tried to unload the gun, even though she told police she didn’t know how to remove the bullets. That’s when documents say Pallone “apparently cocked the hammer” and the gun fired.
