A group of black journalists say they are disappointed in the lack of ethnic diversity among people chosen to moderate the presidential debates.

The National Association of Black Journalists said, on Friday, that the commission on presidential debates needed to stop treating black reporters, and other minority journalists as if they are unqualified, invisible, or both.

The group is not only furious at this selection, PBS anchor Gwen Ifill is upset about being looked over as well.

In an interview with the New York Times, Ifill was “livid and disappointed”, that she was not chosen this time as a moderator. She was a moderator for both the 2004 and 2008 vice presidential debates.

Those that are scheduled to be moderators for this year’s debates are Jim Lehrer, Bob Schieffer, Candy Crowley and Martha Raddatz.
