It was quite a busy weekend for the gospel fans here in Cincinnati. With tons of special guests in town to celebrate the ninth anniversary of the annual I Hear Music in the Air Conference, we’re sure many of you are still at an all time high as some of your favorite national recording artists and local up-and-comers appeared at a plethora of events.

Now you know 1230AM WDBZ The Buzz didn’t miss a beat this past Memorial Day weekend as the conference, concert, workshop and gala conglomerate kicked off on Friday, May 28th with the first ever I Hear Music in the Air Peoples Choice Awards. After weeks of submitting candidates in a few top gospel music categories plus a voting process conducted by the people who support gospel in our city, and  yes, we’re talking about all of you who voted for your top picks, Cincinnati’s gospel music showed that once and for all it is alive and well.

We spotted a few familiar faces in gospel and were pleasantly surprised by a few others who came out to support I Hear Music in the Air. Members of the Radio One family were in the house right along with me including 1230AM WDBZ The Buzz on-air personality P. Ann Everson-Price and Mojo 100.3’s Midday Motivator Faith Daniels. The ladies took to the stage to announce some special guests and even present a few awards. What did you think of the evening’s lineup of special guest artists? Were you pleased with the outcome of the awards ceremony? Which artists walked away with the most awards? Who did you enjoy seeing live the most? Don’t forget to share your thoughts with us by posting in the comments section below. David and Tamela Mann surely brought their southern hospitality, a second helping of sanctification and a whole lot of laughs to the stage like never before, but we want to know how you enjoyed the Peoples Choice Awards and if you want to be apart of it again next year.

Did your little ones enjoy the Teen Summit at the Seasongood Pavilion in Eden Park? If so, tell them to share with you how much they learned and all that they experienced. If you caught up on your spiritual enrichment during the workshops at the Aronoff Center, let us know what you took away from it all and how you plan to use those tools to build your individual ministries.

How about the evening with Marvin Sapp? Did he sing your favorite song? For those of who you attended the Legends Ball and watched Lincoln Ware receive his honor, what did you think of the ceremony? Were you excited to see gospel legends The Clark Sisters in person receiving their Lifetime Achievement Award? Tell us all about your experience at the Westin on Sunday evening.

We’ll be back for more recaps from all of the events we were able to be present at this past weekend, but of course, we want to know your side of the story. Was there anything in particular that stood out to you? Which events did you attend throughout I Hear Music in the Air 2010. We kept you guys up to date on all that we were doing, so now you have a chance to tell us what you were doing during this year’s conference. Did we miss anything you want to share?
