Sister Speak: Meet Julie!

You hear her Monday, Thursday, and Fridays on 1230 The Buzz. Sergeant Julian Johnson, otherwise known as “Julie” or “Jules”, is a Cincinnati native raised in the community of Kennedy Heights.

Julie attended the University of Cincinnati for both her undergraduate and graduate schooling. Once having been a school teacher, she is now a seventeen year veteran of the Cincinnati Police Department. She was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in October of 1998.

Much of her work has had an impact on maintaining and improving District Four, to include Mt. Auburn, Corryville, Walnut Hills, Avondale, North Avondale, Paddock Hills, Bond Hill, Roselawn, Carthage, and Hartwell. Julie currently works as a Supervisor in the department’s Data Integration Unit. With a teaching background, she is comfortable instructing topics such as Accepting Cultural Differences at the Department Police Academy.

Julie’s immediate family consists of four brothers, one of which works as a detective for the CPD and head of Mayor Mark Mallory‘s Security Detail, one sister, and her parents Robert and Shirley Johnson.

Sorority?–Yes! Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
Sports?–Yes! Avid fan. Enjoys playing tennis and golf.
Workout?–Absolutely. Aerobics and weight training 4-5 times a week.
Inspirations?–Admires both parents.
Most happiest when?–Driving with someone special on a warm sunny day in the convertible, listening to some good music.
