NEW YORK-Comedian, Tracy Morgan recently appeared at Caroline’s Comedy Club in New York City. He once again claimed he was misunderstood and not homophobic after making several apologies in the recent weeks for his anti-gay rant in Nashville. He joked:

“My father was the lead singer in the Village People,” he insisted through his own laughter. “I would sing the ‘Y.M.C.A.’ the loudest. I was sitting right there when he wrote the song, my daddy. The Indian was my godfather.”

The New York Times suggested that Tracy Morgan might need to give another apology for some jokes that he told about disabled people. They did note note that Morgan’s older brother had cerebral palsy.

Resuming his routine, Mr. Morgan warned his audience, “Don’t ever mess with women who have retarded kids.” As groans and cries of “Uh-oh” were heard, he continued, “Them young retarded males is strong. They’re strong like chimps.”

Finally, he concluded with a bit about his alleged teenage romance with a girl he described as “a cripple” with a prosthetic arm, a mechanical larynx and a portable dialysis machine.

See you at the next apology?
