Legendary vocalist Dionne Warwick has entered into a major battle on Broadway. The singer has filed a lawsuit against the producers of the new Broadway musical Baby, It’s You! after she reportedly discovered the stage show uses both her name and likeness without her consent.

She’s apparently not alone as similar claims have developed by Beverly Lee, the only surviving member of The Shirelles who were once popular in the 1960s. Near the beginning of their careers, the quartet were among the first in the outbreak of all-female performance groups. The Shirelles were also the first to have a number one single on the Billboard Hot 100.

The musical opened in New York this week and quickly drew the attention and disapproval of Dionne Warwick, R&B singer Chuck Jackson and the estates of three of the four original Shirelles. For more on the show and the complete details of the lawsuit, click on the various links below.
