As many of you all know, 1230AM WDBZ The Buzz has been part of a nationwide informant of the funeral arrangements, homegoing and musical celebration details for the late gospel icon Bishop Walter L. Hawkins occurring in Oakland, CA this week.
*PLEASE NOTE: We have officially been notified that the previously announced live streaming of tonight’s musical celebration scheduled for broadcast on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 WILL NOT stream live at The Love Center’s website (LoveCenter.org) beginning at 10:30p ET/7:30p PT as planned.
Consequently, details are still unfolding as we speak. Please continue to be patient and prayerful as streaming is prepared while there are thousands of additional viewers attempting to access the live broadcast. Also, please keep in mind that any potential cancellations, viewing delays and/or service interruptions are of no immediate fault or direct responsibility of TheBuzzCincy.com or 1230AM WDBZ The Buzz. With an overwhelming response and record numbers of potential viewers, the live stream will now occur tomorrow on Wednesday, July 21st at 2:00PM EST/11:00AM PT instead during the official funeral services, according to statements provide on LoveCenter.org. We are sad to announced that the live simulcast will not take place this evening, but it will be available tomorrow during the services and apparently the recent good news doesn’t stop there.
As previously reported, some of the biggest names in gospel music including Yolanda Adams, Mary Mary, Karen Clark Sheard, BeBe Winans, have come together tonight for an exclusive tribute honoring the life and achievements of gospel legend Bishop Walter L. Hawkins. Reportedly, there will be limited commercial interruption, but you still will get a glimpse of the action if you’re not there to experience it live.
Catch the new Walter Hawkins Faith & Fame episode on Sunday, July 25th at 6:00PM EST, scheduled to be immediately followed by the now previously recorded special tribute concert at 8:00PM EST/5:00PM PT, and only on GMC (formerly the Gospel Music Channel).
