 June 1st marks the beginning of this year’s hurricane season, which lasts until November 30th. This hurricane season is predicted to be a very active one, as the National Weather Service is predicting 8 to 14 hurricanes. With the hurricane season underway and the oil spilling in the Gulf of Mexico, it makes people wonder what if a hurricane went through that oil spill. Meteorologist Gene Norman came by the Yolanda Adams Morning Show to map out the possibilites of what could happen. You can hear the interview by listening to the audio below. The National Weather Service also has a page of frequently asked questions  you can get information from.
